In Mark 4:3-8, Jesus says:

“There went out a sower to sow: And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.”

The late, great Jim Rohn takes these verses and parallells them perfectly with the Law of Sowing in Network Marketing. Mr. Rohn was known world wide for his inspirational teachings but he was also a very successful network marketer. He knew what it took to have success in this networking industry.

Listen to Jim’s audio below. Great Stuff!!

Don’t you just love parables!!

Whoa just a minute. Before you get your dreams dashed right in your face, there’s some important Laws of Sowing you must learn so you will be around to reap the rewards.

#1 The birds are going to get some of the seed.

You’ve sown some seed. Some prospects seem very interested. You call them back for that scheduled appointment and they aren’t there. You keep trying and trying to reach them.

Stop it! Chasing them will be a big distraction to your success. Some birds will get your seed, accept it and keep sowing.

#2 The seed falls on rocky ground where the soil was shallow. On the first hot day it withers and dies.

Great, you’ve got new partners. They are so excited but in a month or two when riches don’t fall in their laps they see the next shiny new opportunity and poof… they are gone. Maybe you can persuade them to stay, maybe send them an interested client.

Stop it! Persuading them to keep their business will be a big distraction to your success. Some seed falls on rocky ground, accept it and keep sowing.

#3. The seed falls on thorny ground. The plant starts to grow again, but the thorns choke it and it dies.

Some of your team members will let life get in their way. They are too busy to make it to the training or the scheduled appointment. They have excuse-itis. They struggle along and slowly drop out. The sad thing is, these are the ones that probably need this opportunity the most. You could spend your time explaining details of the trainings they missed. You could offer to train their new members.

Stop it! I think you know what I am trying to say. But there is good news!

#4 Some of the seed will fall on fertile ground and will spring up and grow.

If you keep your head down, keep sowing, and don’t get distracted with all those seeds that aren’t sprouting you will find that some seed will grow. Don’t try to figure it out, it’s just the Law of Sowing.

You will also find that some will work at 30% and some at 100%. You can’t expect a 30%er to work like a 100%er. Just acknowledge and water the sprouts and keep on sowing.

Another wonderful benefit of continuing to sow is your skill level will increase. That will almost always help you find that really fertile ground!

Did you get the message?… Keep sowing!!
