One of my Facebook friends shared this story, and  it was a true

inspiration to me. Hope you enjoy it.

A story that could inspire you for the rest of your life…Several times my daughter had telephoned to say,
“Mother, you must come to see the daffodils before they are over.”
I wanted to go, but it was a two-hour drive from Laguna to Lake Arrowhead
“I will come next Tuesday”,
I promised a little reluctantly on her third call.

Next Tuesday dawned cold and rainy.
Still, I had promised, and reluctantly I drove there.
When I finally walked into my daughter Carolyn’s
house I was welcomed by the joyful sounds of happy children.
I delightedly hugged and greeted my grandchildren.

I told my daughter, “Forget the daffodils, Carolyn!
The road is invisible in these clouds and fog, and
there is nothing in the world except you and my grandchildren
that I want to see right now. I don’t want to drive another inch!”

My daughter smiled calmly and said,
“We drive in this weather all the time, mother.”

“Well, you won’t get me back on the road until it clears,
and then I’m heading for home!” I assured her.

“But first we’re going to see the daffodils.
It’s just a few blocks,” Carolyn said. “I’ll drive. I’m used to this.”

“Carolyn,” I said sternly,

“It’s all right, Mother, I promise.
You will never forgive yourself if you miss this experience.”

So we went!
After about twenty minutes, we turned onto a small gravel road
and I saw a small church. On the far side of the church,
I saw a hand lettered sign with an arrow that read,

“Daffodil Garden —->”

We got out of the car, each of us took a child’s hand,
and I followed Carolyn down the path.
Then, as we turned a corner, I looked up and gasped.
Before me lay the most glorious sight.
It looked as though someone had taken
a great vat of gold and poured it over the mountain peak
and its surrounding slopes.

The flowers were planted in majestic,
swirling patterns, great ribbons
and swaths of deep orange,
creamy white, lemon yellow, salmon pink,
and saffron and butter yellow.
Each different-colored variety was planted
in large groups so that it swirled
and flowed like its own river with its own unique hue.

There were five acres of flowers!

“Who did this?” I asked Carolyn.
“Just one woman,” Carolyn answered.
“She lives on the property. That’s her home.”
Carolyn pointed to a well-kept A-frame house,
small and modestly sitting in the midst of all that glory.

We walked up to the house.
On the patio, we saw a poster.

“Answers to the Questions I Know You Are Asking”
was the headline.

The first answer was a simple one. “50,000 bulbs,” it read.

The second answer was, “One at a time, by one woman. Two hands, two feet, and one brain.”

The third answer was, “Began in 1958.”

For me, that moment was a life-changing experience.
I thought of this woman whom I had never met,
who, more than forty years before, had begun,
one bulb at a time, to bring her vision
of beauty and joy to an obscure mountaintop.

Planting one bulb at a time, year after year,
this unknown woman had forever changed
the world in which she lived.
One day at a time, she had created something
of extraordinary magnificence, beauty, and inspiration.

The principle her daffodil garden taught me
is one of the greatest principles of celebration.
That is, learning to move toward our goals and desires one step at a time.

“It makes me sad in a way,” I admitted to Carolyn.
“What might I have accomplished
if I had thought of a wonderful goal thirty-five
or forty years ago and had worked away at it
‘one bulb at a time’ through all those years?

Just think what I might have been able to achieve!”
My daughter summed up the message of the day
in her usual direct way.

“Start tomorrow,” she said.

She was right.
It’s so pointless to think of the lost hours of yesterdays.
The way to make learning a lesson of celebration
instead of a cause for regret is to only ask,

“How can I put this to use today?”

The Daffodil Principle.

Stop waiting…..
Until your car or home is paid off
Until you get a new car or home
Until your kids leave the house
Until you go back to school
Until you finish school
Until you clean the house
Until you organize the garage
Until you clean off your desk
Until you lose 10 lbs.
Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married
Until you get a divorce
Until you have kids
Until the kids go to school
Until you retire
Until summer
Until spring
Until winter
Until fall
Until you die…

There is no better time than right now to be happy.
Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
So work like you don’t need money.
Love like you’ve never been hurt,
and, Dance like no one’s watching.

If you want to brighten someone’s day,
pass this on to someone special (like I did to you!)

Wishing you a beautiful, daffodil day!
Don’t be afraid that your life will end,
be afraid that it will never begin.

Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and I hope you took a moment to give reverence to this great leader and what he stood for.  I think his vision encompassed even more than a persons skin color.  His dream was to also give every American the equal opportunity to live the “American Dream”.

With the declining economy it is even more difficult for the average family to achieve this. It may be necessary to find a second income or even replace one that was lost due to a lay off.

I believe that the internet has helped in leveling the playing field and made the “American Dream” possible for many.  It is a place where anyone that is coachable and trainable and can find the right mentor will be able to profit financially.

People are coming online in droves looking for that financial solution. So it really is a good time to position yourself online so that you can help others which will in turn benefit you also.

I do believe in equality for all.  Let’s stand up and live a life of equality that Dr. King was so passionate about.

Web Prosperity for All,

Jill

Posting on your blog should be an important part of your marketing strategy. Some will tell you to post every day. I find that difficult to do sometimes and I think if you do it atleast 1 time per week that should be sufficient.

It’s a great place to post on any topic you wish but remember to also focus on a theme that interests you and that you are willing to engage other readers in.

Some factors to think about to get your blog ranked higher in the search engines are to pick a keyword that you wish to target. In your post use the keyword you picked at least 5 times throughout the article. Bold, italic, and underline the keyword a few times. Use the keyword in the title, and near the top and bottom of your page.

If you are writing about something relevent to your affiliate website, use the keyword in your link back to your website.

If you are a beginner blogger I would suggest starting at blogger.com. If you are more advanced and want more control and freedom with your blog then use wordpress.

Unless you set up automatic pinging with wordpress, you will need to take your new posts and ping them to the search engines and blog directories. This alerts these mediums that you have new content and they will publish your fresh content.

This is a very easy process. You can use either Pingoat.com or Pingomatic.com to ping your new post. These two sites will do the same thing. Once you’re there enter your blogs name and the URL of the home page of your blog. Check all the boxes and hit submit. It will take about a minute so wait until it is completed.

Wow, you’re now a blogger. I would love to see your new blog. Send me a link or any questions to: jbcaldwl@gmail.com

I created this blog because I was once confused and frustrated with internet marketing and I didn’t want others to go through the same experiences I did.  I became overwhelmed with all the options for marketing. I wanted to find the most effective techniques that could be implemented in the shortest amount of time. I also needed a simple blueprint to follow.

Through lots of trial and error I finally found the training that I was looking for.  I will be posting these steps here on my blog and I want to eventually get them all in a pdf document that you can download. So stick around, come back often and I hope that you will find some steps that you can implement to attain your Web Prosperity.

The first constructive thing I learned was I shouldn’t be announcing my product to the world. Imagine that! I think that’s a mistake that most of us have made. People don’t want to be sold, even if they have come online specifically looking for something. They first want to buy from someone they trust. For example if they want to start a home business they will look to join one with a person that they like and trust. They also want to know that you will be there to help them.

You certainly cannot convey little if anything about yourself from your generic, cookie-cutter affiliate website.

My first recommendation is to create a blog.  Begin posting to it regularly. Don’t blatantly sale, sale, sale but offer value to your readers. You could put your affiliate website URL after your signature at the bottom of each post. Put your contact details and your affiliate website URL in the static side column.

You could also create a website that has a personal flair to it and add the RSS feed of your blog to your website. If you update your blog regularly that RSS feed is also putting fresh content on your website. The search engines eat this up and push your website and blog higher up in the engine. That’s always good because there is a better chance of someone finding you when they are doing a search. Search engines are not particularly happy with affiliate websites and google usually will not even post them.

If all of this sounds a little too complicated, let me tell you - if I can do it, I bet you can too. Look at it as an adventurous journey.  There may be peaks and valleys but it will be okay because you have a travelling partner now that will help you up if you fall.

Come back tomorrow where I will post more detail about creating a blog.

To your Web Prosperity!

Hi, I’m Jill Caldwell. I live in western North Carolina in the Appalachian Mountains. I’m married and have an amazing 9 yr. old son whom I adore. We love to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, biking, exploring new places and finding waterfalls. My son and I just recently took our first hot air balloon ride and had a blast. It was during the changing colors of fall and was just breathtaking.

For years I also had the dream to be able to have a home business and work from home, to be able to spend quality time with my family and be there for my son when he got home from school. For several years I bought into multi-level business opportunities that promised me things that weren’t realized. The only thing I acquired from these ventures was more credit card debt and frustration. I found out that my friends and family were not interested in trying my products or having a home business. All those expensive leads also were not interested in being sold.

That’s when I knew I had to drastically change my strategy or quit. Well, I’m stubborn and also have a strong entrepreneurial spirit so I was going to find a way to make it work. Besides I now had this looming credit card debt that I had to get rid of.

Through some more trial and error I finally found a group that I feel a connection with. This was a group that focuses on giving instead of getting. They have a true pay-it-forward mentality which is a philosophy that I also have. I believe that if you help others with a giving spirit (not just to get something in return) it will be returned to you multiplied.

This new way of “business” is working beautifully for me. Not only am I finally getting out of the “red” but I am making some great friendships along the way. This positive change has crossed over into all areas of my life. I encourage you to open your mind to a new way of online success.

Don’t think you can just stick an affiliate link out there and you will fill up your bank account. Times have changed. Once you learn what works there are many out there that need your help. So let’s get started. It feels good to see others having success when they were never able to before.

Blessings my friend,

Jill Caldwell
